Methodology
Source and scope. NHTSA’s consumer complaint flat files, pulled September 19, 2026. This page counts every complaint NHTSA received from January 1, 2016 onward that names Thor Motor Coach as the manufacturer and “HURRICANE” as the model, across every floorplan and model year. The model ranking carries the full rules for how RV makers are identified and how one model is defined.
Part named. When filing, an owner picks one or more components from NHTSA’s list.
